Card Deck

I made two of each type except for the back because it was getting late and the power was out as it was. These were all done in Illustrator and no I don't like them in how they turned out. I feel that I could have done a lot better than this but because most of my days were taken up with certain important things needing to be taken care of, I had to do it at the last minute. I know I could have done a lot better than this.

Art Deco

Here is my art deco of Captain Marvel done in Illustrator. I still have a bit of trouble on what exactly art deco is other than geometric shapes. Other than my understanding of that, I feel that Captain Marvel turned out really really well and I'm extremely pleased with it. I couldn't figure out a good font for this so I just had chosen and art deco font called Andes. This Captain Marvel is a remake from a t shirt version of Captain Marvel that I had found on the internet. I might tweak it a bit more but other than that I very much enjoyed this.

Zeotrope

 Here is the zeotrope I had done in Illustrator, taken into After Effects and then finished in Premiere Pro. I think it turned out alright, I know I could have done better and the original one that I had done was of a bunny and its front legs went up and down but I left it unfinished because someone said it didn't look right (they thought dirty). Later I was told I should do one with the loch ness monster. I plan to try that in the future (if I remember). All in all it turned out well. Not the greatest in my opinion but the sound effects and music help make it seem like waves (maybe less of the music next time)

Interactive Infograph

Here's a picture of the infograph that I had done in InDesign. It did and didn't turn out the way I had hoped. I am having issues with the numbers and every time I got to save it as an interactive PDF, the numbers would disappear. So I tried other things and still didn't have any luck. Now I am just figuring out what was going wrong. Every time I went to save as interactive, it would change on me to print. Then I realized that I had missed a step that I was suppose to do. Finally done the right way and it's okay, I think that it should have been something else. I need to work with the interactive PDF more and InDesign more.

Here is my word press 4 page website. I think it turned out quite nicely for never touching word press before. I did have a bit of difficulty when I started out. I couldn't figure out how to put a video up on the word press site so I just put in the you tube link. I would have to work with word press more to figure it out better but for this assignment, I think that my site turned out quite nice.

Newsletter

My newsletter! This was done in Dreamweaver and the pictures were saved for web through Photoshop. The newsletter turned out fairly well, although looking at it now it almost look a bit too text heavy on one side but I think it would be that way with this design no matter what. All in all it looks pretty good to me and I am pleased with the way it turned out.

Web Slice

This artwork was done by me all in illustrator using shapes and pen tool by moving points around to create the desired effect. I exported it to a jpeg and then took it into Photoshop to slice it up and save it for the web where I then took the pieces into Dreamweaver. There I had made them as a background on a div tag and set the box height and width. There were a few issues that I had had with Dreamweaver so I had to re-slice a few time but it turned out well. Not exactly as I desired because i couldn't quite figure out how to get 3 specific eggs to become links in the places that they are in to make them go to a separate links. I still would like to figure that one out. All in all, it turned out well.

SLAM

Here is a cover for a Magazine at Pierce College. The photos were taken by me and I had added the text in Photoshop. I was a bit pressed with time and it turned out nice but not quite what I wanted. i would have liked to have done something a little more out there for the cover but because I was lacking in time I had chosen to take two photos that I had and just add some text to then and then make the little folio's in Illustrator with the pen tool.

Shapes

Here is my shapes that were done all in after effects and then taken to premiere pro to add music. It turned out very well, the way I expected it to although after watching it I was wondering what I was thinking. I was actually trying to match a shape or two to a beat but I changed my mind last minute

Thematic Text

Graphic Tablet Drawing

Here is my drawing done in Illustrator with must a graphics tablet. I had a hart time drawing this out because I wasn't used to the tablet and I am so used to moving the paper around when I draw on a piece of paper. It turned out okay, I thought it could have been better but this was also my first time drawing with a graphics tablet.

Pop-up Book

Pop up book!

Using After Effects, I had created a pop up book. Did it work out? Sort of. Not one of my best pieces of work but it does what it needs to do, all the pictures are a sky scene with a grass ground. Looks alright but given the chance, I would create another that looked better than this one.

Turned out Fairly well, I had a difficult time getting a picture on the background but I was also working in Dreamweaver CS6 because I only had a trial version of Dreamweaver CC and it ended. I had a bit of issues posting it at first and I'm still not sure why but it worked out in the end and turned out fairly well even though the background could have been a bit darker of a color since it was suppose to be of a night scene thanks to the pictures.

Vinyl Sticker

This is a vinyl sticker that I made of the four directions (Native American). Its has 4 layers and the are all stacked on one another with a quarter of the circle missing each stack. The lining didn't work out too well (cause I can't align worth a thing), but that's okay because it still looks pretty good. Just need to stick it to something now.

Lower Fonts

Here are the lower case fonts along with symbols and numbers. I think the symbols and numbers turned out better than the lower case numbers. Would I want to create fonts again? Not really. They are very tedious or at least it was for me.

Capital Fonts

Hey look new fonts! Maybe, but they are more like poor attempts of fonts. They really aren't that bad, I used Illustrator pen tool to create a line and then used the width tool to widen and thin certain parts of the line. After that I expanded then and with the fork I took a rounded rectangle shape that I drew and divided them from the expanded line I had. Ended up turning out better than I had hoped and it looks pretty good. I have lower case ones too coming soon!

First Blog

Ornaments with glasses and mustache's. I thought that it would be kinda funny to do and was able to execute what I had planned. The programs that were used for the making of the video was photoshop with brushes then taken into flash so the glasses and mustache appeared to be "wiped" into view, then into premiere pro for brightness and contrast and the addition of music. Did it turn out well? That's for you to decided but I feel that it turned out the way I was hoping it would.
